Dave is into One Direction, and Airheads.  One of those facts comes to light during our discussion on our “favorite” movies that take place mostly in one set location.  Some flicks adhere more closely to that guideline than others, but it leads to some fun discussion and thought.

If we’ve missed your “favorite”, let us know.  Unless it takes place on a spaceship, then Dave’s not interested.

And a BIG thanks to Morgan Jim Cole for our fly, new logo.

Morgan, I still like our old fly logo.  One is silver, the other gold.

You wanted it, if your name is Tyler, and here it is-Chronicle gets the Movies on Up treatment.  And by treatment, I mean Dave makes a series of irrational criticisms while Ryan counters with equally irrational defenses of Josh Trank’s found footage superhero movie.  Let us know where you come down on the movie, especially if you don’t hate it.
Our next discussion episode should be super as well, Iron Man 3.  If you haven’t seen that one yet, what the hell is wrong with you? There will be spoilers abound so lay off next week’s discussion until you have seen the latest exploits of Tony Stark.  If you’ve got some thoughts on the Mandarin or Pepper in the Iron Man suit, we’d love to talk about them next week.  Send them to us at moviesonup@gmail.com.

Year two of Movies on Up begins with an update on Dave’s all-time fave Gremlins.  Still satisfying the female demo with news of a new D&D movie franchise, Adam Scott hot-tubing it up, what’s up with the Iron Man 3 director and star, your Tom Cruise sci-fi update, this week’s Jane Got a Gun casting shake up, and an enthralling round of “this movie was supposed to come out here and now it’s here”.

A couple space-themed trailers head up the list this week with Gravity, Ender’s Game, The World’s End along with Captain Phillips, The Butler, August: Osage County, As I Ly Dying and Fruitvale Station starring Michael B. Jordan.  Dave gives a preview of the man-love he will shower on Jordan during our Chronicle discussion episode later on in the week.
