It’s the 100th episode of Movies on Up!  What better way to celebrate than with a list episode with 100 movies?  Seriously, if there was a better way, you all should have suggested it weeks ago.  Ryan and Dave count down their top 50 movies from the last 50 years and in true Movies on Up style, that list has more than 100 movies on it.  See if we’ve chosen yours!

Thanks to all the listeners (both of you) that have given us a reason to keep these podcasts coming.  If it weren’t for you all, Dave and I would probably never talk and he’d actually be a father to his children.  Thanks again.

Fun and games abound in this episode of Movies on Up!  We put a bow on our summer game, Box Office Bash and unveil the new and improved Fantasy Filmball 2013.  It’s clear one of us is a man of principal, and one is Dave as we choose our list of 5 films to battle for bragging rights over the fall/winter.  What isn’t as clear are the rules.  Those will be ironed out in a follow-up blog post, so check back for that shortly.  More importantly, get your picks in!  Send them to moviesonup@gmail.com and perhaps you can be this year’s champ!

Let the sexy times begin!  As mentioned in our fall preview episode, sex addiction will be a hot-button movie topic with Thank You for Sharing and Don Jon hitting theaters in consecutive weeks.  Allow us to get you in the mood with a graphic look at the sex addiction non-com from last year, Steve McQueen’s Shame.  Starring that guy.  And his wiener.

From hell’s heart, we take a second stab at a discussion episode unlike any other-two movies for the price of one.  Take a trek down memory lane with 1982’s Wrath of Khan and 2013’s Star Trek Into Darkness.  Spoiler alert, there’s a lot of Khan-versation about Into Darkness being the worst Star Trek movie ever (according to Trek-nerds), perhaps ranking even lower than movies that aren’t Star Trek and how Dave would like to see the next TWO movies unfold.

Because I couldn’t help it, our list episode right out of the shoot this week.  Damn the proton torpedos, Jason waits for nobody!  In case you’re calendar-ly challenged, this Friday is Friday the 13th!  As is my tradition, I’ll be watching the exploits of Jason and Dave had indulged me by making it our list episode for the week.  Almost a mathematical impossibility, we manage to only have one movie that finds itself on both of our lists.  Listen up to find out what it is, if you dare…
