Hope you all will be/have been well Fled this Thanksgiving.  Avoid your family or pass the time while you wait in line for a walkman on Black Friday with the top five movies that Dave and I are thankful for.  It’s not necessarily our favorite movies, but they all bring something to the table that we are very much appreciative of.  I can’t do a better job explaining the list than that, but give it a listen. We thank you in advance for letting us know what movies you might be thankful for.

A couple months back we over here at Movies on Up decided to pay tribute to, perhaps, our generation’s greatest actor-Denzel Washington with a top 5 list dedicated entirely to the films of Mr. Washington.  So for our second actor retrospective list, we choose the second greatest actor of our generation, Vince Vaughn.  At least Starbuck looks good.

Take a trip down the golden mile with Movies on Up.  In what might be a pod-first, Dave and I  do a discussion episode about a movie on it’s DVD release date thanks to the wonders of digital download.  What movie is that you might be asking?  Well, it’s Edgar Wright’s The World’s End.  Can it possibly live up the the enormous expectations set by Shawn of the Dead, or is it a hot mess?  We’ll tell you.

Thanksgiving is a time for families to gather and bask in the presence of one another.  At least that’s the idea.  The idea here was to list our favorite movies that center around good, wholesome family togetherness.  In theory, a good idea.  In practice, a tough list to put together, which be made abundantly clear.

Dave and I are man enough to admit that upcoming Domhnall Gleeson/Rachel McAdams time travel rom-com joint About Time looks pretty good, so we thought we’d pay tribute with a list of time traveling flicks that we love.  Or at least a list of time travel movies that we didn’t think would make our opposite number’s list.  Did your favorite make our lists, only time will tell.
